A Moroccan Hamsa with Blue Beads
and a Lunar Crescent

This is a fine example of a Moroccan hamsa, or Hand of Fatima, with the blue beads used to ward off the evil eye. It also seems to incorporate the symbol of the lunar crescent, classifying it also with the common crescent amulet.

This hamsa was photographed in the Moroccan crafts store Marrakech Express. I am extremely grateful to the store for letting me photograph everything in their store.
